With a commitment to all things green, inglish design make every attempt when purchasing timber and finishes to take the green option. As the business has developed we have invested time in researching the best most durable finishes that we can offer our customers.

Increasingly people are becoming aware of the serious environmental and health hazards of many products, particularly those used around the home. To help you make a positive, healthy and ethical choice we offer natural paints , oiled and waxed finishes. The oiled finishes show the true beauty of the timber and are a popular choice with many of our customers. All of our furniture is finished by hand either in our workshop or on location.

In terms of timber we try our very hardest to promote timbers which are FSC certified. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international organization that promotes responsible stewardship of the world’s forests. By buying from certified sources we feel that we are providing an incentive for responsible forest management—and therefore not contributing to its destruction.
